Trends in Programmatic for 2025

The programmatic advertising industry never stands still, and as we approach 2025, the landscape is shifting once again. From the rise of connected TV (CTV) and the increasing role of artificial intelligence; advertisers, publishers, and networks alike need to stay ahead of the curve.

But with uncertainty in the air—thanks to economic slowdowns, geopolitical instability, and tighter budgets—being prepared is more important than ever. And with Programmatic advertising spending in the UK projected to reach £8.8 billion by 2024, there is a real need to be nimble and agile in 2025.

We believe 2025 will be a year to address key challenges, seize emerging opportunities, and, crucially, ensure businesses can do more with less. Let’s dive into the most important programmatic trends for the year ahead.

Building Sustainable Relationships

The ad-tech industry has long been criticised for its transactional nature, but 2025 will see a shift towards building sustainable relationships. As publishers, DSPs, SSPs, and networks recognise the need for fairer, more robust terms, there will be a stronger focus on treating partners more equitably, in the pursuit of better outcomes across the whole industry.

We’re looking to lead this charge by enabling instant payments. In a world where delayed payments of 120+ days are still the norm. We’re helping partners build trust and confidence, and mutually beneficial deals. After all, sustainable relationships start with ensuring everyone gets paid on time, don’t they?

Addressability: The Cookie Conundrum Continues

If you thought we’d seen the last of debates around third-party cookies, think again:

In July 2024, Google announced that they won’t deprecate third-party cookies. Instead, Google says they will introduce a new experience in Chrome that lets people make an informed choice that applies across the users’ web browsing, and the user would be able to adjust that choice at any time.

Currently, Google is discussing this new path with regulators, and will engage with the industry as they roll this out. For now, Google states that it remains important for you as a developer to have privacy-preserving alternatives.

Despite this, it feels like the programmatic industry is still grappling with addressability. Advertisers need to adapt their strategies as although this time looks to be paused on the removal of cookies, it certainly isn’t the end. Focusing on first-party data, contextual targeting, and privacy-compliant solutions is definitely still hot for 2025, as the wider privacy concerns around data management continues to bubble away.

The Shift to CTV and Online Video

As CTV and online video continue to dominate media consumption, it’s no surprise they’re also at the forefront of programmatic growth. CTV advertising spend in the UK is forecasted to grow by 15% annually, reaching £2.94 billion by 2028.  UK Advertisers are reallocating budgets to reach audiences through these high-impact formats, and publishers are doubling down on video inventory to meet demand.

But scaling in this space requires investment—investment often delayed by outdated payment systems. A reason why at Revving we are championing instant access to your revenue, allowing you to reinvest without waiting months to get paid.

Redundancies, Elections, and Economic Uncertainty

The ad-tech world faced a turbulent 2024, with industry redundancies and widespread uncertainty casting a long shadow over 2025. Add to this mix the influence of elections and geopolitical instability, and you’ve got a cocktail of challenges to navigate.

When times are uncertain, cash flow becomes king. With delayed payments off the table, Revving ensures you have the liquidity to weather these storms. Whether you’re a publisher needing funds to keep operations smooth or an advertiser looking to scale cautiously, we’re promoting confidence in your cashflow rather than focusing on the negatives of 2024 to take into the new year.

Doing More with Less

In 2025, budgets will remain tight, forcing businesses to find ways to get more out of less. This will mean leaning on efficiency: smarter campaigns, better technology, and reduced waste. But there’s a catch—you can’t achieve efficiency if you’re constantly waiting for your money to arrive.

Due to economic uncertainties, 65% of UK advertisers plan to reallocate budgets towards more measurable digital channels in 2025.

By removing the friction of delayed payments and with instant revenue access, you can optimise campaigns, scale operations, and experiment with new strategies—all without cash flow concerns holding you back.

AI and Advertising Trends

It wouldn’t be a 2025 trends piece without talking about AI. Artificial intelligence will continue to revolutionise programmatic advertising, from automated campaign optimisation to predictive analytics and personalised creative. Advertisers who embrace AI-driven solutions will gain a competitive edge—but they’ll also need the resources to keep up with rapid technological advancements.

In 2025, 80% of digital display advertising in the UK is expected to be influenced by AI, enhancing targeting and personalization.

As we continue to show how AI will influence our industry, now more than ever is it important to have structure in our processes to support innovation to ensure it is a real benefit to the business.

Putting Revving at the Heart of Programmatic in 2025

The trends shaping the programmatic industry in 2025—whether it’s CTV, addressability, or AI—are all underpinned by one core need: financial flexibility. You can’t innovate, grow, or adapt if you’re stuck waiting for your money.

That’s where Revving comes in. By giving publishers, DSPs, SSPs, and networks instant access to their revenue, we’re putting programmatic back  in control. No waiting, no delays—just the freedom to thrive.

If you don’t know about these trends, now’s the time to catch up. And if you’re ready to put Revving at the heart of your strategy for 2025, book a call with our team today. Let’s make the future of programmatic your greatest opportunity yet.

RevHub Release Notes – The Next Evolution of Your Revving Portal

RevHub is a comprehensive rebuild of the Revving customer portal, designed to meet the needs of our customers in the digital economy. Our goal is to eliminate the pain points of payment terms that continue to exceed far beyond 90+ days. We also used this opportunity to deliver a faster platform that is scalable, easy to use and intuitive, using customer insight and data to determine the best use of features. With this release, we’re laying a solid foundation for rapid feature development, while giving our customers the real‑time financial insights they need to thrive.

Funding Without Friction

Waiting times to secure funding can hold your business back. RevHub eliminates the bottlenecks and gives you near immediate access to your funding.

What’s new:

    • Request funding instantly: With a streamlined flow, you can request funding with just a click from within RevHub’s dashboard
    • Real‑time visibility: See how much funding is available as soon as you log in, without filling out extra forms or making a phone call.
    • Fewer delays: The improved process reduces friction and gets funding in your hands when you need it most.

Performance & Scalability

The previous portal had some difficulty in handling larger datasets. This slowed down accessing critical financial data.

What’s new:

    • Instant access to data: RevHub’s rebuilt front‑end and back‑end leverage modern frameworks to deliver real‑time commission data and advance information in a single view. Pages load in under two seconds.
    • Responsive across devices: A component‑based design ensures that RevHub looks and feels consistent on any screen size, from smartphones to desktops.
    • Scalable architecture: The back‑end has been re‑engineered for horizontal scalability, enabling us to serve large datasets reliably and support high‑impact workflows without latency or bugs.
    • Modular components: A modular architecture accelerates future enhancements, so you’ll see new features rolled out faster than ever before.

Simplified Reporting

Accurate, timely reports are critical for reconciling commissions, advances and transactions. The previous portal had made a great start in showing this visibility, however we knew we had some way to go to enable our customers to access and filter data, especially during month‑end.

What’s new:

  • Redesigned reporting pages: The commissions, advances and transactions pages have been overhauled to make it easier to read and reconcile data. You can access real‑time reports and download them for your own analysis.
  • New dashboard widgets: Widgets on the main dashboard provide at‑a‑glance views of key metrics, including collections and advance balances.
  • Improved VAT representation: Calculations and displays related to VAT have been refined to give you clearer insight into taxes on your transactions.
  • Advanced filtering and search: Filter variables and customise views with precise breakdowns of revenue streams over time. Search by invoice number or payment reference to quickly locate specific transactions.

A Smart Dashboard Designed for You

Feedback from customers from the V1 of the dashboard required too many clicks to find the most important information. With RevHub we wanted to change that.

What’s new:

  • Available funding at a glance: See how much funding you can access immediately and request funding directly from the dashboard.
  • Latest advances and collections: Track recent advances and collections without navigating away from the main page.
  • Outstanding amounts broken down by advertiser and currency: Get a clear picture of what is owed and in which currency, so you can manage cash flow more effectively.
  • Smarter navigation: Links and filters take you straight to the details you need, eliminating unnecessary clicks and helping you answer questions faster.

Access Management

As your organisation grows, you need a financial visibility and insights that scales with you.

What you are able to do:

    • Manage programmes and revenue sources: Add, pause or remove programmes/revenue sources and campaigns directly from the portal.
    • Multiple user access with roles: Invite team members and assign different levels of access, ensuring that everyone sees exactly what they need to see.
    • Integration with approved programmes: Connect RevHub to new revenue sources or platforms, with the ability to view commercial terms and keep everything in one place.

Built for Your Future

This release is just the beginning. RevHub’s new modular architecture and scalable infrastructure mean we can respond to your feedback faster than ever, with more powerful features on the way. Whether it’s deeper analytics, new funding options or advanced integrations, you can expect RevHub to evolve alongside your feedback.

How Smart CFOs Are Turning Accounts Receivable Into Growth Capital

In the digital economy, every CFO faces the same paradox: revenue is climbing, but cash flow is lagging.

Why? Because most businesses treat AR (Accounts Receivable) as a waiting game. The invoice is raised, the clock starts… and capital sits still.

High-performing CFOs are breaking that cycle. They’re turning AR into a liquidity engine, powering campaign agility, sharper decision-making, and sustained growth.

The Problem with Passive AR

On paper, growth looks good. In practice, revenue sitting in AR is untouchable capital. And every day it goes unpaid, it’s costing you, whether through lost reinvestment opportunities, missed early-payment discounts, or restricted budget flexibility.

For AdTech and affiliate businesses operating on tight operating windows, the toll is real. McKinsey acknowledges that businesses improving working capital unlock significantly more cash – and that’s firepower.

Reframing AR as an Asset

Traditional finance treats AR as a risk, something to discount, insure, or wait out. Revving treats it as an opportunity. By connecting directly to your sales data in real time, we can fund against verified transactions before the invoice is even issued.

This isn’t invoice factoring as you’ve known it. It’s capital liquidity engineered for fast-moving digital businesses:

  • No debt on the balance sheet
  • No dilution
  • No 90-day drag

The Benefits of Active Capital

When you can access capital the moment a campaign delivers, you:

  • Improve capital efficiency across every budget line
  • Gain agility to reallocate spend across platforms instantly
  • De-risk seasonal or performance-based revenue models
  • Strengthen negotiating power with suppliers and partners

CFOs who treat AR as an active growth lever aren’t just smoothing cash flow, they’re building compounding performance advantages.

The Takeaway

In a market where speed equals competitiveness, passive AR is a hidden brake on growth. The smartest CFOs aren’t waiting for their revenue to arrive, they’re leading with it.

Book a demo with Revving and see how to turn your receivables into your next growth engine.

The Hidden Cost of Net Terms: How AdTech CFOs Can Reclaim Trapped Capital

If you’re a CFO in AdTech, you’ve experienced this frustration: the campaigns are live, the results are in, the revenue is technically yours – yet the cash is nowhere to be seen. Welcome to the quiet drain on your balance sheet: net terms.

In our industry, net 60, net 90, or even net 120 payment schedules aren’t the exception, they’re the norm. Across programmatic buyers, affiliate networks, and publishers, millions in earned revenue sit locked on AR (accounts receivable) ledgers, unavailable for reinvestment. It’s capital that should be in motion (fuelling campaigns, scaling spend, and driving growth) but instead, it’s stuck in limbo.

The Cash Flow Strain of Net Terms

According to PwC’s 24/25 analysis, the average DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) has increased by 6.6% in the past 5 years, meaning millions of earned revenue that is taking even longer to deploy. At 90 days, this means roughly a whole additional week of waiting on invoices to be paid.

For growth-stage businesses, this isn’t just inconvenient, it’s decisive. Delayed access to capital means slower reinvestment, reduced campaign agility, and missed opportunities to seize market share. For established businesses, that is the difference between funding opportunities to outpace competitors, or not.

The report also estimates that there is 1.56 trillion euros of excess working capital available. The issue is thus systemic and needs solutions that can work right away and across different industries.

Why This Hurts Capital Efficiency

Capital that’s trapped is capital that costs you twice. First, in opportunity cost, the returns you could generate if that money was working. Second, in financing cost, because most businesses fill the gap with credit lines or term loans.

That means paying interest on borrowed funds while your own revenue sits idle. It’s inefficient. And it drags on your IRR (Internal Rate of Return) for every campaign you run. CFOs are measured on both liquidity and balance sheet strength. High AR not only ties up liquidity, it pushes you towards on-balance-sheet debt – adding risk and eroding capital efficiency.

Reclaiming Capital with a Pre-Invoice Model

This is where a modern capital platform changes the playbook. By integrating directly with monetisation platforms and verifying transactions at the source, Revving advances capital before an invoice is even raised.

That means:

  • No 90-day wait
  • No loan liabilities
  • No dilution

It’s a true off-balance-sheet solution that accelerates your access to revenue without compromising your financial optics.

What That Unlocks

For CFOs, collapsing payment cycles from months to days isn’t just a funding improvement – it’s a performance multiplier. Instant access to capital enables:

  • Faster reinvestment mid-campaign
  • Higher IRR on every pound of spend
  • Operational control over cash cycles
  • The ability to scale with confidence, not constraint

The Takeaway

Net terms aren’t simply a payment delay – they’re a costly performance drag hiding in plain sight. In a market where speed and agility define competitive advantage, waiting for revenue is no longer an operational necessity. CFOs who unlock trapped capital stop reacting to revenue. They start leading with it.

All Fired Up at Revving HQ

This week, Fired Up made its debut and it did exactly what it said on the tin. High energy. No fluff. Just the biggest questions in AdTech tackled by some of the sharpest minds in the industry.

Hosted by Revving, Fired Up: What’s hot and what’s hotter in AdTech? Drew over 100 attendees from across the ecosystem, publishers, platforms, agencies, founders. The goal? Debate, decide, and cut through the hype.

the format was simple: five speakers. Five trending AdTech topics. One live audience votes to crown the “hottest trend for H2.” No lengthy lectures. Just sharp arguments and bold predictions. The crowd showed up. The speakers brought the heat. And the outcome gave us a lot to think about.

The Debate: What’s Hotter?

The session revolved around five battle trends:

  • Contextual Targeting
  • Retail Media
  • Connected TV (CTV)
  • Programmatic Digital Out-of-Home (PDOOH)
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Moderated by Bill Fisher (eMarketer), the panel featured voices from some of the most forward-thinking companies in the space: GumGum, JCDecaux, ShowHeroes, Skai, and Scope3.

Let’s break down the firepower behind each trend and the punchy 1-liners that had the audience deciding upon.

🔍 Contextual: The Return of Relevance

Kicking off for Contextual was Jessica Aylett, Strategy Director at GumGum, who reframed contextual targeting as not just retro, but revolutionary.

“Contextual is definitely not new, but the way we use it is.”

She made a compelling case for a privacy-first world where cookie-based signals are increasingly ineffective:

“We are finally able to understand and unlock the value of contextual in the open web’s mindset era.”
“In this cookieless era, brands can finally match with people in the moment.”

And the kicker?

“Contextual is what’s making advertising more relevant, more engaging, and more welcome.”

🛒 Retail Media: Full Funnel, Full Power

Representing Skai, Michelle Urwin made a bold case for Retail Media’s rise from outside to inside the boardroom:

“Retail media will account for 25% of all digital ad spend by 2029.”

She pointed out how it’s more than just product placement:

“It’s the only channel that connects media to the mechanics of ecommerce itself.”

Retail Media, she argued, is omnichannel, measurable, and trusted by consumers actively seeking products:

“When consumers are on retail sites, they want to be targeted- it’s part of the shopping experience.”
“Retail media isn’t just a fad—it’s getting bigger and better every day.”

Clearly, the audience agreed-Retail Media took home the crown as Fired Up’s hottest trend.

📺 CTV: The Next Generation of TV

Steven Filler from ShowHeroes took the stage to talk about the rapid transformation of Connected TV.

“CTV can do everything TV can do and so much more.”
“This is the year that CTV overtakes TV.”

From hyper-targeted creative to measurable outcomes, Steven framed CTV as the future-proof format that combines performance with premium.

“CTV delivers tailored creative that takes the traditional TV spot to the next level.”

He also highlighted the undeniable shift in viewing habits:

“Across Europe, about half of all TV views are already on CTV.”
“Advertisers are increasing CTV spend even in tough markets.”

📡 DOOH: The Real-World Reach

Jon Mundy of JCDecaux brought passion to the stage with a powerful case for Digital Out-of-Home.

“There’s only one true brand fame-building platform and that’s Out of Home.”

He emphasised DOOH’s dominance in physical spaces where digital fatigue doesn’t apply:

“You’re not doom-scrolling you’re out and about. You see these ads. They have impact.”
“97% of the UK population sees some form of DOOH every week.”

And in a mic-drop moment:

“We’re the greenest programmatic channel-no bots, no nonsense.”
“DOOH sells things. That’s what we’re all here to do.”

🤖 AI: The Inevitability Factor

Closing out the debate, Tim Collier from Scope3 made a case for AI that was both bullish and sobering:

“AI is having its Macintosh moment.”
“Whether you like it or not, AI is going to take over everything.”

Tim focused on efficiency, cost, and depth:

“The cost of inference has fallen 99% in two years, AI is cheap now.”
“You can break down content frame-by-frame, word-by-word, and understand nuance better than any human.”

He reframed AI not as optional, but as inevitable, with a big choice:

“We can do this badly, or we can do it as well as humanly possible.”

Beyond the Buzzwords

Fired Up wasn’t just about trends it was also about networking and connection and talking about the wider mechanics of the industry.

As Chris Pettit, CEO & Co-founder of Revving, put it:

“The industry has built a rocket for ad delivery, but we’re still settling invoices via carrier pigeon.”

That contrast between innovation in tech and friction in operations, is exactly what Fired Up was designed to surface. It’s also why Revving exists: to fix the broken, slow-moving payment systems that hold back progress across the board.

What’s Next?

Given the feedback, we’ll absolutely be back for Fired Up: Q4 Edition, bigger, bolder, and even more interactive. Expect another chance to debate the future, hear from industry voices that matter, and connect with the kind of people who are shaping what’s next.

Until then, you can, see the event photos here

Welcoming Finn Nelson to the BizOps team!

At Revving we’re changing the way the Adtech ecosystem is funded, making late payments a thing of the past. But behind every big idea and innovation, there’s a team of brilliant people making it happen.

Today, we’re spotlighting Finn Nelson, our new Business and Operations Associate. A chartered accountant with a knack for problem-solving (and an unexpected talent for the bagpipes), Finn helps our business run smoother. Whether it’s streamlining onboarding, refining processes or keeping teams connected, he’s playing a key role in keeping Revving moving forward.

Read on to discover what excites him about Revving, his goals for the future and a surprising family connection.

Why did you decide to join Revving?

The space Revving operates in and the cash flow problems it solves for other businesses is one aspect. Alongside that, the size of the team (and the exposure and challenge I could get with that) was enticing, as well as the momentum behind the company right now, which was very apparent during the interview process.

What most excites you about working at Revving?

It’s been exciting to join at the same time as the public announcement of the Series A closing. Whilst I didn’t have a part to play in that big milestone, I’m looking forward to helping get Revving to our next milestone!

What is your job role and what does it entail?

BizOps Associate. I’m involved with everything around operations, with a planned focus on owning and driving forward the onboarding side of operations: from enhancing processes to managing relationships between the sales and operations teams etc.

What’s one thing you’d love to achieve over the next 3 to 6 months?

From chatting with Trevor [Trevor Cook, Revving’s BizOps Manager], we’ve discussed several areas where processes can be improved if there was more time in the day to focus on them. Now the operations team has grown, it’s great to be a part of driving efficiencies here.

What is one of the most interesting things about the industry you can think of?

I hadn’t realised just how long it can take for publishers to receive payouts! I’m sure if those time horizons were applied to some other industries, there would be trouble.

What’s one interesting fact about you that might surprise us?

I play the bagpipes (badly). My granny also says we’re descended from Pocahontas (quite hard to fact check that one).

Beyond the strategy and expertise, Finn’s enthusiasm for teamwork and problem-solving embodies the spirit of Revving. Whether it’s refining workflows or embracing the challenges of a fast-paced startup, he’s ready to make a difference.

We’re excited to see how Finn continues to shape our operations in the months ahead! Want to learn more about Revving and the talented people behind our mission? Get to know us better.

Inside the Payment Gap: How Punishing Payment Terms Impact the Adtech Ecosystem

£2.5 billion pounds. That’s the cost attached to the UK’s poor payment culture according to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and it’s killing 50,000 small firms every year.

For anyone in adtech, this is no surprise. 180-day payment terms are not unusual and it seems as though timelines are continually being stretched, often to breaking point, for those waiting for hard-earned sales revenue. With some new programmatic briefs seeing 365-day-plus payment schedules, it’s a growing challenge that demands a comprehensive answer.

Here we explore how key players across adtech are impacted by an industry-wide payment gap and how Revving is challenging this status quo, forging a new and sustainable path forward.

Beyond Cash Flow

Punishing payment terms are much more than a cash flow problem. They are stifling creativity and cutting many smaller businesses off at the knees. And it’s a challenge that extends to every corner of the adtech advertising ecosystem.

When payments are delayed, publishers struggle to reinvest or grow, networks find it harder to maintain strong publisher relationships and agencies are forced to manage tighter cash flow constraints, affecting their ability to negotiate effectively for their clients. Poor cash flow prevents reinvestment and innovation across the board and strains relationships, putting the brakes on progress for everyone.

AI and technology are driving ad innovation, but outdated and unfair payment terms are holding adtech back. If the industry wants to lead the future, it must rethink how it handles payments now.

Publishers: The Frontline of Adtech

When it comes to the payment gap, it’s publishers who feel the pain most acutely. As the ultimate sellers of advertising space, late and delayed payments have a direct impact on how they operate.

With sales revenues locked up in long payment cycles, publishers are forced to operate on tight margins while waiting months for payments to clear. This directly impacts their ability to reinvest, hire talent and develop innovative formats that keep audiences engaged.

For smaller or independent publishers, these delays can mean the difference between growth and closure. Without timely payments, many struggle to cover operational costs, pushing them toward unsustainable credit solutions or, worse, out of business entirely.

Faster, fairer payments are vital for publishers to stay stable and innovate. Prompt payouts fuel better content, draw top advertisers and power adtech’s growth.

Networks: Forging Connections

By connecting publishers and advertisers, ad networks play a vital role in the smooth delivery of digital advertising, aggregating publisher inventory and matching it with advertiser demand. However, the growing issue of delayed payments puts the effectiveness of these networks under threat.

As publishers grow frustrated with long payment terms, networks may struggle to maintain strong relationships. Many will favour platforms with faster, more reliable payouts, leaving slower networks at risk of lower-quality inventory. This fragmentation disrupts efficiency, restricts premium ad access and weakens campaign performance.

Faster payments help networks build stronger publisher relationships; happy publishers ensure a steady flow of high-quality inventory and better ad returns. With greater financial stability, networks can focus on innovation, better analytics and smarter targeting, benefiting everyone.

Agencies and Media Buyers: Feeling the Squeeze

Agencies and media buyers sit at the heart of the adtech ecosystem, negotiating the best advertising placements for brands. But in an industry where payment delays have become the norm, agencies are increasingly finding themselves caught in a cash-flow crunch.

Late payments from brands and advertisers mean agencies can front the costs of campaigns, often waiting months to be reimbursed. This impacts their ability to negotiate better pricing, build stronger relationships with publishers and invest in infrastructure and talent to drive campaign success.

Even worse, these financial constraints can lead to strained client relationships. If agencies lack the funds to secure premium placements quickly, brands may see less effective campaigns, missed opportunities and weaker results, pushing them to take their business elsewhere.

By ensuring faster payments, agencies can operate more efficiently, maintain healthier relationships across the ecosystem and focus on delivering better results for brands and publishers alike. Timely payments lead to stronger trust, more competitive pricing and a smoother overall ad-buying process, benefiting every player in the chain.

Supply and Demand Side Platforms: Essential Adtech Infrastructure

Supply side platforms (SSPs) and demand side platforms (DSPs) are the essential infrastructure that powers programmatic advertising. SSPs help publishers sell their ad space, while DSPs enable advertisers to buy that space efficiently. However, these platforms thrive on trust and liquidity, both of which are severely impacted by late payments.

Delayed payments reduce publisher confidence in SSPs, pushing them toward platforms that offer more immediate revenue. Meanwhile, DSPs facing cash-flow challenges may struggle to fund bidding strategies, leading to reduced efficiency and missed opportunities for advertisers.

A smoother payment process gives SSPs and DSPs the stability to strengthen partnerships and push innovation forward. Faster payments also improve cash flow, build trust and create a more competitive, high-performing programmatic market.

Bridging the Payment Gap

The payment gap is holding back an adtech industry with huge potential. The digital ad sector already contributes £129B to the UK economy and supports two million jobs, yet bloated payment cycles are slowing growth.

Revving is changing that. Our pioneering portal and funding solution unlocks cash flow for businesses across the industry, ensuring they can reinvest, scale and make the most of new opportunities. By providing faster access to revenue, we’re helping adtech companies thrive, whether they’re ambitious startups or established players.

We’re forging a new way of funding that goes far beyond traditional factoring and recognises the needs of a fast-paced adtech industry where microtransactions are the norm. What’s more, we’ve just raised investment of £107M to fix the adtech cash-flow crisis in the UK.

Your adtech business shouldn’t be held back by slow payments. Set up a demo with our team today and explore how Revving can help you take control of your cash flow, accelerate your growth and build your future.

Why partner with Revving?

Revving partners with Ad Tech businesses to provide cash flow. You might think of what we do as invoice factoring, and in a way, you’d be right. But there are a few key differences that make us stand out from traditional invoice factoring, making us the ideal solution for the digital economy.

Revving is an Adtech funding solution, supporting the digital economy with payments and cash flow in a unique way. See how we are helping our industry and why you would even partner with Revving at all; by reading on…

A unique solution to an industry-wide problem

Adtech businesses can sometimes be made to wait up to 180 days to receive payment, from sales they’ve worked hard to make. It’s a problem that doesn’t just impact businesses – it has a ripple effect across the whole digital ecosystem, causing delays, missed opportunities to invest or even just get ahead with their marketing and sales initiatives for further growth.

While standard invoice factoring could help with some of this, it’s not made for a digital world, meaning your money could get further stuck in outdated systems that aren’t fit for purpose.

Our approach can make payment delays a problem of the past, enabling digital businesses to get paid faster and invest quicker in future growth.

Cut through the crowd

A major reason behind why payments can be so delayed is the complicated network they have to go through. With publishers, agencies, affiliates and other intermediaries all wanting their slice of the pie, your money can easily get caught up in the traffic.

That’s why we partner with some of the biggest names in the business to help you get paid directly from the source. When you use Revving, you get access to the likes of Google, Spotify, Awin, Amazon, Apple App store and more, meaning your money finds a shortcut past the complicated systems and heads instantly to where it’s meant to be – your business bank account.

These key integrations are what set us apart. Giving you speed of payments, flexibility of process and traceability of your reporting and reconciliation.

£107m funding secured to tackle the UK Ad Tech cash flow crisis

We’re excited to announce that today we’ve secured £107 million in funding; led by one of the world’s largest asset managers, DWS.

One of the biggest challenges facing the UK adtech sector right now is extended payment terms, with many businesses across the digital economy  often having to wait as long as 120 days to see money reach their account. That delay can cause significant cash flow problems for digital businesses, stifling innovation and preventing growth.

Our new funding allows us to tackle this issue head-on. We’ve developed a new approach to invoice factoring, enabling the digital economy to thrive. This approach could provide digital businesses with £1.8 billion over the next three years, going on to boost the UK economy by a staggering £8.6 billion.

Supporting a thriving industry

The adtech sector contributes £129 billion to the UK’s GDP and supports over 2 million jobs, making it an essential drive of growth both now and in the future. But if delayed payment terms are allowed to continue, this growth could come to a grinding halt.

There are complex ecosystems at play here, with payments getting stuck between publishers, agencies, affiliates and other intermediaries and creating a ripple effect throughout the supply chain.

This makes it difficult for smaller businesses to reinvest and plan for the future, turning a thriving industry into one that’s stuck going in circles.

With this new funding, we can get things moving in the right direction again.

Revolutionising Invoice factoring for the digital economy

We’ve completely reimagined invoice factoring for the digital economy. Our platform seamlessly integrates with digital marketplaces to capture sales data and offer immediate access to revenue, even before invoices are created. This gives businesses the cash flow they need to reinvest and seize new opportunities.

Here’s how it works:

  • Innovative funding model: Our approach to funding is specifically designed for the digital economy, allowing businesses to access more flexible funding as their business models adapt and change accordingly..
  • Tech-driven automation: Using our proprietary platform and direct integrations with digital marketplaces, we offer automated funding solutions based on real-time sales data. This tech-driven approach ensures faster access to funds and supports growth.
  • Actionable insights: Our platform also provides valuable insights, helping businesses make smarter financial decisions and improve market transparency.

Supporting the UK’s digital future

We’re proud to already be supporting many UK digital businesses with their payments and growth, but this is only the beginning. With this new investment, we’re in a prime position to further transform the way funding and cashflow management works in the UK’s digital economy. We’re committed to helping businesses unlock their full potential, keeping the UK competitive on the global stage and helping the digital economy move forward once again.

“Over 50,000 UK businesses went under last year due to late payments. We are on a mission to eradicate this and this strategic investment is a game-changer for Revving and the entire digital economy” said Chris Pettit, CEO of Revving. “Revving has built a highly sophisticated platform specifically for the digital economy that completely reinvents the way traditional invoice factoring works.

Vlado Spasov, Head of Capital Solutions, DWS, said: “Revving’s focus on high-tech digital ecosystems and robust growth trajectory aligns perfectly with our commitment to backing transformative financial solutions in the UK. This investment represents the evolution of private credit as it grows into new and innovative digital sectors.”
